Will 🏳️‍🌈<p>TIL that, if you have sensory issues and are having your roof redone, don’t be a hero. It’s totally reasonable to find a place that is not your home until the project is done. Otherwise, it quickly becomes overwhelming.</p><p><a href="https://mindly.social/tags/SensoryIssues" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SensoryIssues</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/HomeRepairs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeRepairs</span></a></p>
stuartb<p>It's a slippery slope...<br>I had to do some concrete work in the garden during the week, embedding the base of a rotary washing line (and yes, I'm aware that a real handy-man would have mixed his own concrete rather than using premixed, just-add-water, cake mix-style concrete, but its the first time I've ever done this, okay?), and now I'm considering getting some tools and mortar to repair part of the front garden wall that has toppled over.<br>*sigh*<br>What was that I was saying about "I don't do DIY"?<br><a href="https://social.teamb.space/tags/adulting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>adulting</span></a> <a href="https://social.teamb.space/tags/HomeRepairs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeRepairs</span></a></p>

Frank Bennett<p>Cat-sitting for friends up the street, I offered to look at a broken hinge on a corner cabinet. Landlord had said the hinges were out of production, but with some scruffling around in search engines, I found 'em. Opens 175⁰, which is needed for the tight spot into which the doors are fitted. (The maker is "Mura/Kosh", written in tiny print with a stylized font that was tough to decipher.)<br><a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/repairs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>repairs</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/homeRepairs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>homeRepairs</span></a></p>
Judeau (EatTheRich)<p>Got the leaking sillcock replaced! </p><p>The days are getting shorter and colder. Had to make sure I got it replaced before freezing temps showed up.</p><p>Apparently the outside foundation is much lower than the floor inside so my measurements were a bit off at first. Nailed it the second time. 😂</p><p>Just have to mud tape and spackle the inside and then spray the outside with some foam insulation!</p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/HomeRepair" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeRepair</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/HomeRepairs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeRepairs</span></a></p>
