gmc<p>I'm really loving Geminispace, much much more enjoyable than the world wide web.</p><p>Next, I plan to get back into usenet. Set up an NNTP server and all that. Curious what that is like after all these decades.</p><p>Any good upstream NNTP servers people can recommend? Going to start with <a href="https://www.eternal-september.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">eternal-september.org/</a> I think.</p><p><a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=GeminiProtocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GeminiProtocol</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=Geminispace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geminispace</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=Usenet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Usenet</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=NNTP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NNTP</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=SmallWeb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SmallWeb</span></a></p>
EK :a_openbsd:<p>Upon further analysis of the incident it was discovered that they also defaced the dev server for the <a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/Geminiprotocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geminiprotocol</span></a> capsule.</p><p>This is the first known defacement in <a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/Geminispace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geminispace</span></a>, which the degus now firmly marked as their own territory in cyberspace. </p><p>It shows the skill of APT77 aka T34M D3GU aka Fluffy Rodent that they managed to deface a server running on <a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/OpenBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OpenBSD</span></a> in a chrooted environment. </p><p><a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/degucontent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>degucontent</span></a> <a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/metadegucontent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>metadegucontent</span></a></p>
Santiago Lema :amiga:<p>Reading a random gemlog with cool ascii art always fills me with joy<br><a href="gemini://linklink.flounder.online/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible"></span><span class="ellipsis">gemini://linklink.flounder.onl</span><span class="invisible">ine/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://masto.lema.org/tags/geminiprotocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>geminiprotocol</span></a> <a href="https://masto.lema.org/tags/GeminiSpace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GeminiSpace</span></a></p>
George Macgregor<p>The Gemini Protocol is something I am instinctively enthused by -- and indeed have taken to browsing the <a href="https://code4lib.social/tags/Geminispace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geminispace</span></a> with my preferred client (Lagrange). </p><p><a href="https://code4lib.social/tags/Gemini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gemini</span></a> holds potential in supporting the rapid decentralized <a href="https://code4lib.social/tags/publication" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>publication</span></a> of <a href="https://code4lib.social/tags/scholarly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>scholarly</span></a> work, esp. in specific disciplines. But is it too arcane to ever gain purchase, e.g. focus too textual, too outside HTML, too many users not au fait with markdown? I can't see much happening in the Geminispace at present. Am I missing something?</p>
Szczeżuja<p>Z inicjatywy polskiej społeczności <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Gemini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gemini</span></a> powstała lista polskiej <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/GeminiSpace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GeminiSpace</span></a>. <br><a href="https://codeberg.org/szczezuja/gemini_PL" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">codeberg.org/szczezuja/gemini_</span><span class="invisible">PL</span></a><br>Idea jest taka aby każdy mógł współtworzyć („pull request” albo dodanie „issue” na codeberg.org) i dystrybuować listę np. na swojej kapsule.
