Actually that probably was made by this @ bitPick guy. I had tried in the past several other programs. The reason I stick with FreePlane is that its free and AND has been and is still continuously developped. A lot of the others you need either to buy ( and you have no way to suggest improvements) or they have only a short livespan. I think I have maps that are at least 10 years old 😁

I don't see how then you find it "not modern" ? And it has a wealth of features to be discovered : linking among nodes, among different maps, to files, directories and websites, searching across maps; notes, tags and actions for each node, different styles, freefloating nodes, all kinds of formating forceach node .....
