Scientists from the University of Bristol and the UK Atomic Energy Authority have created the world's first carbon-14 diamond battery, which can run continuously for thousands of years.The micropower technology encases radioactive material in diamonds, creating a safe and long-lasting power source that could be used for everything from space applications to bio-compatible use cases (implants, hearing aids, pacemakers) to RF tags.
