Juggling With Eggs<p>I received an email today from the head teacher of my kid’s federated junior and infant school regarding a considerable cut in places in Reception next year because essentially the local <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/birthrate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>birthrate</span></a> has plummeted. </p><p>When my kids joined in Reception in 2019 there were 4 classes of 30 kids. There has been a tapering off of numbers ever since, so much so that they will only have 3 classes of 30 next year. 120 down to 90. </p><p>Tonight I see people on <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/BBCQT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BBCQT</span></a> considering a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Reform" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reform</span></a> government. </p><p>???</p>
