Indie Diva<p>Question for ANYONE who does audio and video editing.</p><p>Is there any website (like SkillShare, etc) that offers complete training in Open Source software (not ADOBE only for example for video)?</p><p>I use Audacity, OBS/SLOBS at the moment, but want to learn more. I also use Linux only, so no Microsoft or Mac only.</p><p>I found I learn better watching and creating, rather than reading off a website. Between my disabilities and ADHD, I have to find a way to do it on my own time.</p><p>I have a background in hardware support, but want to learn editing (is it engineering?).</p><p>Budget is an issue :(</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/audiobooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audiobooks</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/audioediting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audioediting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/videoediting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>videoediting</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/youtube" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>youtube</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/training" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>training</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/education" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>education</span></a></p>

Christine Malec<p>Oh Mastodonians, <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/audioEditing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audioEditing</span></a> question. I’m about to edit a podcast. I have trouble with volume levels. I don’t hear differences well, and have had to redo a lot of work in the past because others heard discrepancies. I have about 6 tracks, which will be mixed and crossfaded. I’m open to long-term learning, but for this project, the tools I know are Goldwave using Jaws, and reaper using NVDA. Are their steps I can take at the beginning, or implement at the end, to achieve a consistent volume?</p>
