LorenzoTips needed!I have been using <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Obsidian</a> for more than 2 years now. I was noticing how many notes are outdated due to complexity, plugins and things changing... Where markdown is a nice format, it is clear that I have spent way too much time tinkering.So I am going minimal with my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/SecondBrain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SecondBrain</a>. I will try again <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AppleNotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AppleNotes</a> and I feel that way too many basic features are missing, and probably I will look back to Obsidian with no plugins. Any suggestion/tips on how to improve Notes?

SchoonoverApple Notes collapsed headers freaking out when I type on a single line.I like <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AppleNotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AppleNotes</a> collapsing sections but formatting in general in Apple Notes feels clunky and weird. In an era of "markdown is everywhere" I wish we could use MD in Notes and do away with some of this madness.

Brian CostaI learned today that making a Table in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AppleNotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AppleNotes</a> does not mean spreadsheet. Nor can one paste in a spreadsheet from say <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Numbers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Numbers</a> to gain that functionality./And after all the math talk with iOS 18? Seriously Apple?/

Andy ZeigertI really like Obsidian as a note taking app, especially since I discovered that you can sync via iCloud without a subscription. I've been an avid Apple Notes person for ages, but I like using markdown for easy formatting, and Notes doesn't have that. The biggest downside of using Obsidian over Apple Notes is that I heavily use the collaboration features of Apple Notes. Been trying to get a markdown url link to append into an Apple Note corectly without success. Same shortcut to put it into a Craft note took less than 2 minutes and it just works...
