S. John Ross<p>I gave the shorthand their own lil' graphic thingy. I find the colors soothing. 😅</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/HTTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HTTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a></p>
S. John Ross<p>Too much text for a post, too much text for the Alt-Text, too much text for a graphic, really ... but too skimpy for a blog-post. Ah well. Made it anyway, so I'll show it to you folks.</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/HTTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HTTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a></p>
S. John Ross<p>Some ways of trying to describe <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/HTTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HTTRPG</span></a> to strangers. It's mostly about <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a>, in a style that existed commercially (on the fringes) from the early 80s until sometime in the mid-to-late 90s, before disappearing from game retail.</p><p>I'm ghalev on Discord. I run free workshops that teach the basics of designing in this style. Even if you don't have an interest in this style, there's plenty to pilfer for other styles.</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a></p>
S. John Ross<p>Something I've not posted about is the give-and-take between the 'thickness" of the mystery layer in <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/HTTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HTTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a> and the size of the problem cluster, but it's a useful and simple relationship: the thicker the mystery, the smaller the cluster, for the same playtime.</p><p>With a thin icing of obscurity (my usual, for publication) I generally estimate 40 minutes' playtime per problem in the cluster. But it can vary from ~30 to _hundreds,_ depending on obscurity.</p><p>A rambly thread:🧵</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a></p>
Lindsey Bonnette<p>I'm finally releasing the adventure that I've sat on since September. This project page on my website has links to both Itchio and DriveThru where you can get the adventure for free! The adventure was written for Worlds Without Number, but can be converted to other OSR systems.</p><p>Delve into a forest at the edge of destruction, where a parasite controls the only entity that could prevent it.</p><p><a href="https://www.lindseybonnetterpgpublishing.com/projects/pretender-to-the-flame" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">lindseybonnetterpgpublishing.c</span><span class="invisible">om/projects/pretender-to-the-flame</span></a></p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/WWN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WWN</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a></p>
Lindsey Bonnette<p>Alright, I finished the discussion of my process for creating and publishing an adventure module. Its not as thorough as I wanted it, but I hope it helps! The post is over on my blog.</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/AdventureDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AdventureDesign</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.lindseybonnetterpgpublishing.com/blog/how-i-plan-write-illustrate-and-publish-a-ttrpg-adventure-module" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">lindseybonnetterpgpublishing.c</span><span class="invisible">om/blog/how-i-plan-write-illustrate-and-publish-a-ttrpg-adventure-module</span></a></p>
