so I reckon Hetzner has stopped hosting my DNS.
maybe i should look into that…

opened a support request with Hetzner, and learned that my account is locked over a bill that i paid two weeks ago.

since it's not been automatically matched, they are asking me for a proof of payment.

which is usually something i would've just sent them when making opening the support request, but i couldn't find it in my banking app. so when today they explicitly asked for it, I made the effort to actually do it, and it turns out you have to make a special request in the app, describing the transaction and then in a day or two you get a response back.

Every time I use a banking app, I miss my bank from Austria, that did 15 years ago stuff that most banks still don't do, but this is a new level of ridiculous.

thanks to new info it's useless now, but i finally got my proof of transaction.
