I'm pondering product cards and WCAG 2.2 criteria 1.4.1 (use of colour).
In this example, which is quite common, there is a product (a t-shirt) and in the card 3 colour variations are indicated by small circular images.
There is no text describing those colours.
Fail of 1.4.1?
Unusual thought of the day... of the moment.
WCAG 2.5.8:
> The size of the target for pointer inputs is at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels
How does that apply to skip links?

#WCAG: forcing #accessibility-specific justification for stuff you should just be doing anyway since 1999.
When writing about contrast, what do you write?
- 3:1
- 3.0:1
- 3.00:1
- Something else?
(And why?)

A11y 101: 1.4.4 Resize Text, by @nattarnoff.bsky.social:
Since it doesn’t seem to exist, I want to make a tool that will show color contrast for text in images. It would:
1. Take an image (or pdf?) as input
2. Detect where the text is
3. Determine the color of the text (per character)
4. Determine the color of the background just outside the text
5. Calculate the color contrast between the two colors
6. Overlay warnings where the contrast is too low
Anyone have ideas for the first few steps? I have the math solved for step 5. #accessibility #wcag

I have manage to lose not one, but two pairs of glasses. In one day.
Absolutely spectacular on my part.
Thank fuck for #WCAG
Image generation just hit an inflection point—and it changes accessibility overnight.
If you need visuals for a document, slide, or webpage, you’re now two prompts away from:
1. A custom illustration.
2. WCAG-compliant alt text.
Just copy your text into GPT-4o and say:
• “Generate an image to illustrate this text.”
• “Write WCAG-compliant alt text for the image.”
That’s it.
Inclusive. Fast. No effort.
Accessibility just got a boost from AI—and it’s about time.
