I was thrifting today. Found a beautiful vase. I think it is one of those W.Germany Fat Lava Vases.

Appliqué embroidery on a thrifted T-shirt which I made after punk singer Poly Styrene died in 2011.
This was before I even owned a sewing machine so I had to stitch the letters on by hand.
I can't remember where the green satin came from but I still have the spool of neon yellow thread.
The T-shirt doesn't exist anymore but I salvaged the embroidery and turned it into a patch.

Another bag I made from a thrifted scarf.
It's so easy, it's almost self-explanatory. The ends with the fringe are cut off to make the bag, the middle part of the scarf is used for the handles.

Salvation Army is good for the soul.
A place where they have endless amounts of clothing my size, because I am tall and skinny unlike most Americans so they pile up, because nobody buys them.
A place where pants don't cost 60-100 dollars for absolutely NO REASON.
I bought a pair of really nice skinny jeans today, and they cost 15 dollars, and actually cost 5 dollars, because someone left a 10 in the pocket.
I got tacos with the ten.

Today's thrift store haul: a nice bit of cotton fabric, might be just enough to squeeze it a button up shirt, some vintage crocheted should that I've got no use for, but they're pretty and I'll think of something, and a nice vintage light meter in a leather case. Purple witch bag made from reclaimed fabric.
I cut fabric from a thrifted skirt, appplied iron-on interfacing and lined it with black cotton. Then added a tiny pouch for charms and embroidered a pentagram with yellow neon thread on it.

I found this gorgeous vintage folk art style wooden Mexican frame at a thrift store. I then bought a wooden panel insert for it and cut that to size (oddball sized frame).
The problem? I desperately want to paint something for it, but do not feel qualified to paint anything in such a beautiful frame. I just keep thinking that my mother is the artist and I should just let her paint something in it. I am torn. I don't know.
