I was told that every potter should make at least one #teapot Naturally, I got carried away and made the biggest fanciest teapot I could. Unfortunately, the engineering and moisture management were beyond my abilities. Feet cracked, handle broke off entirely.
Lessons learned:
1: have a damp box tall enough for your #WIP
2: cut all pieces before assembly
3: figure out how you will brace and support your piece during construction BEFORE construction begins

The teapot is seen in profile. The diamond-shaped body is textured with conveyer belt fabric that gives it an unsteady waffle weave. The feet and spout are made of fancy floral sprig molds
