The multiplayer, or the lack there of, at the moment is so utterly broken and so lacking of being properly made that for a long time, I was just not bothering with it. Seeing it as something unnecessary. Something that does not need to be touched, because other things, like the...

I knew I posted somewhere about this horrible therapeutic cannabis program in New Hampshire.

If you have ever considered signing up for the therapeutic cannabis program in New Hampshire, just don’t. Don’t give any of those shitty dispensaries your money.

They fought for the right to market to us and when they did our privacy was violated. And I’m still mad about it because it took me a year to find out that the consequences were that they had to write a statement explaining how they won’t do it again. That’s it.

Just go buy Weed and Maine or Mass. It’s more affordable anyway. And the edibles are better.

The fact that the dispensaries asked to be able to market it to us fills me with rage. There are only four in this whole state. They don’t need to market to us we know who they are.

zeroes.caMaggie Maybe (@maggiejk@zeroes.ca)@arrrg@kolektiva.social and please forgive me I’m not trying to change the subject from immigrants and dreamers. But last year after I received this postcard I freaked out and I contacted the director of the therapeutic cannabis program. His name is Michael Holt. I asked him multiple questions about this, but the most important questions I had are what are the consequences for this privacy violation, and what legislation changed this program to allow them to market to us. (This was so I could find out what state rep introduced that bill so I could have a go at getting them or their opposition to fix it.) I asked these questions immediately upon receiving these postcards, then I asked them a few other times throughout the past 12 months. Regarding the consequences he told me they would receive the full consequences. The dispensary I used to go to told me that those consequences are probably thousands of dollars. That’s actually not a consequence to a corporation enjoying record profits, but whatever. Last week, 12 months later, this man still hasn’t told me what legislation changed the law, but he finally told me that their consequences were that they were required to write a statement explaining how they will make sure this never happens again. I fucking cried. These people violated my HIPAA rights and the only consequence to them is that they had to write an essay saying they won’t do it again? Like the Bart Simpson meme where he has to write something 100 times on a chalkboard except they only had to write it once privately? I don’t think he’ll ever answer my question about what legislation changed to this because I accused him of stalling so long that I can’t even file a HIPAA complaint now because the statute of limitations is 180 days. And honestly I wouldn’t file a HIPAA complaint because I don’t snitch on myself to the feds. But still wtf?!?! #NH #HIPAA #TCP #ATC #snitches #SanctuartATC #medicalcannabis

Just wanted to share some thoughts on #RFC9715 - an #RFC that defines standards on reducing the #DNS issue of IP fragmentation over #UDP. It's not a long read, but a good one for everyone who understands the issues of large UDP responses on the #Internet. A great leap forward to (hopefully) reduce the reflection/amplification #DDoS potential of DNS.

Just today I learned that #Google will share their public DNS resolvers to limit to ~1400 bytes (smaller adjustments expected while figuring out the sweet spot in production). From now on, DNS responses which exceed this limit will have the truncated flag set instructing the client to resolve back to #TCP.

Join us at SharkFest'25 US for the #TCP Analysis Masterclass with network security expert @packetjay on June 16th.

This pre-conference class delves deep into TCP troubleshooting, from basic concepts to complex scenarios involving multi-point captures for packet loss and timing issues. Elevate your network analysis skills and tackle challenging cases with confidence. Reserve your spot now!

If anyone were to obtain the public IP of my server, and did a port scan on it, every port would come back as closed
> reason behind the failure of #TCP hole punching is only the router NAT table. I will try to explain my best:

Client 1 --> connect(client2) --Internet-- connect(client1)<-- Client 2

Now if Client1 **SYN Packet**** reaches to the client2 and **client2 **SYN packet wasn't released** , the ROUTER of client2 can do 2 things: 1. send RST packet back as connection refused to client1. 2. drop packet immediately and no reply send to client1

@snep espechally on mobile!

OFC it won't make shit go faster, but more reliable.

  • #latency is shit on all mobile networks that ain't straight-up #IP-based like #WiFi, Tor doesn't add that much to it...

In fact, Tor makes #throttled connections bearable for me for >15 years, as even back in 2008 one couldn't just get "unlimited data", espechally not as an individual (school child) without income or wealth!
