The SVN for Mushroam is working again...
It's time to make levels!
I had about 8 level drawings just waiting to go in.

Do you remember the time when @google thought that hosting #opensource projects as a service was a good idea?
Maybe looking at #GoogleCode for good old projects, managed through #svn , bring you good old memories.
Yes you can do it.... at @swheritage archive. Check https://archive.softwareheritage.org/browse/search/?q=googlecode.com&visit_type=svn&with_content=true&with_visit=true
It is like going back in time, I know. Looking ahead, by the way.... will @GitHub live forever?

@nafmo yeah, I had that discussion several years ago, cuz an employer had to nudge senior devs to move from #Subversion to #git simply because noone who joined in new wanted to deal with #svn and it seems obvious the company ain't gonna find someone willing to not charge an exorbitant premium for dealing with it.
git
just handles branching, merges and multiple contributors way better.That's not to say subversion
"can't" do these things, it's just that it's way more painful from the little experience I had with it.
It’s 2025 and to my great surprise, I’m about to recommend my customer to stick to #SVN for the versioning of their binary documents (KiCad, FreeCad, LabVIEW…):
• shared storage à la NextCloud is neat, but not enough to keep a proper changelog;
• #Git is not efficient with non-text files, and Git-LFS is a pain in the arse to deal with compared to SVN.
I have just become the old, grumpy guy who’s making a team stick with outdated tools.
Kill me.
@blackcoffeerider well, that was the nature of #Subversion - basically having a single giant repository but only checking out the subtree that you'd actually need for your work.
See what #KDE's #SVN looked like 20 years ago:
