Während der Veranstaltung demonstrierte Dr. Michael Förtsch, Gründer und CEO von Q.ANT, wie das System Muster erkennt, indem es Fotos von verschiedenen Obstarten kategorisierte. Dabei braucht das Q.ANT-System deutlich weniger Strom als andere.

Am LRZ wird ein photonischer Native Processing Server (NPS) des Tech-Unternehmens Q.ANT zum ersten Mal in einer operativen Rechenzentrumsumgebung in Betrieb genommen. Diese technologisch richtungsweisende Implementierung ermöglicht die Evaluation von photonischer Beschleunigung für KI und Simulationen bei deutlich geringerem Energieverbrauch.

Video presentations on the digital research platform EBRAINS and the Jülich exascale computer JUPITER show what the future of neuroscience, supercomputing and AI could look like.
En 1972 Cray deja CDC para formar su propia empresa (Cray Research) y CDC enfrentó serias dificultades financieras hasta que dejó el negocio de la informática a finales de los 80s. En 1999 Syntegra compró lo que quedaba de la fragmentada CDC.

Anyways, I have a working and mostly automated process that allows Cobbler’s standard UEFI PXE booting workflow with newer distributions…. There will be no blog posts or user guides, k thks bye.

Stumbling Euro tech giant Atos looks set to finally sell its Advanced Computing assets to #France.
The #IT services megacorp, currently undergoing a complex restructuring process, said it has received a confirmatory offer from the French government to acquire the Advanced Computing business of its #Eviden subsidiary, putting a value on it of €410 million ($468 million).
