As I was in need of a good action game, I've been playing #SpiderMan2 on the #PlayStation5, and that game is very in love with #NewYorkCity.

And I would love to visit NYC if it wasn't in a country that is on my personal no-travel list, but so many things the characters in the game call unique to NYC are just things that cities that aren't a bunch of parking lots connected by stroads have.

Things they have called "only in NY":

  • People playing music outside.
  • People playing chess outside.
  • People having parties outside.
  • People having pop up clubs.

Now, there's a lot of cool missions that do show things that are unique and cool about NYC, I especially liked having to save Charlie Parker's saxophone, and looking at the Harlem music museum.

As an adopted Berliner and ex-Amsterdammer, I totally understand loving ones city, but the rest of y'all need some third spaces.

I'm at 40% of playing through of #SpiderMan2, but I just can't maintain any enthusiasm for it.

I think my problem is the main game loop:

1. A billion quests show up at once.
2. You stumble into a fight which goes on far, far too long.
3. Controls switch between fighting, cinematics, and too many mini-games and quicktime events.
4. You finish, and are forced to switch to another character.
5. Repeat.

As soon as I get into it, I get ripped back out. Over and over.

There's no flow state.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

É incomparável a melhora deste jogo em relação ao anterior, e os motivo são os jogos que eles trabalharam entre os 2.

É tudo melhor e mais bonito, e consegue entregar a melhor história de Homem Aranha que eu já vi.

A barra do jogo de ação sobe não por complexidade, mas com diversidade de conteúdo e uma gameplay sólida que não decepciona.

Gostei demais, inesquecível. O maior problema é ter tido q jogar o 1
