VR Sverige AB has ordered 81 #Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses for suburban routes in #Stockholm, with deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2026. The order follows a successful collaboration in Kristianstad and marks VR’s first major partnership with Solaris. #Solaris has secured a major contract to deliver 89 electric buses to #Stockholm, #Sweden, for Nobina #Sverige AB. The order includes Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric #buses, each 15 metres long, equipped with Solaris High Energy batteries. These buses will serve urban and suburban routes in Stockholm, with deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2026. This follows previous orders from Nobina, including 55 electric buses in 2024. Solaris has been operating in Sweden since 2003, delivering nearly 800 buses, including zero-emission models. In 2024, Solaris sold 1,525 vehicles, a 4.7% increase from 2023, contributing to a 13% revenue growth, with zero-emission vehicles making up 83% of sales.

I’ve been working on a #freebsd from scratch blog post series and was going to skip right over Xorg (preferring #wayland and #sway)…and then I heard about #NSCDE - a reimplementation of #Solaris #CDE look-and-feel via #fvwm

Thanks to work by Christian Moerz, it was a snap. Literally `pkg install Xorg nscde` a change to my .xinitrc and I was up in a pastel bliss again. Run #interlisp on it is a beautiful joy.

I was so impressed AND I got to avoid abandonware security holes and bit rot— so I sent some librepay love. It’s a great project!
