A little snow situation this morning. Two coyotes chased a jackrabbit right by the house at dawn. A flock of sage sparrows has been gleaning off the Siberian Elm. Grateful for the water. It'll probably be mostly melted by this afternoon.

Endless small flakes.
It has been snowing here all day. They say it's supposed to keep this up until 5pm tomorrow.
Contrary to every other forecast they give us, they're almost never wrong about how long our snow storms last.
Instead of the gym for exercise tomorrow, I guess we'll be flinging snow.
I'm trying to remember why I thought it was a good idea to retire somewhere that still has all four seasons.

The drifts are 3 ft high to my windows.
There’s a car stuck in the snow in the ramp to our building’s garage so no one can get in or out.
The street, sidewalks, front walk are completely blocked by four foot tall drifts.

We're having a snowy day! Those days are nice. Everything slows down, I feel it brings about a calmness.
Having said that, the city could at least try to start plowing. I mean... I even saw a driver having to shovel the *road* to be able to drive!!
It’s snowing so hard at the moment that 55 bus stops and a large portion of the subway are shut down because there’s too much snow and the buses and trains can’t make their way through it.
The snow keeps coming down in Toronto. The main roads are pretty clear, but many side streets and sidewalks are a snowy mess.
I’m thinking of everyone who is trying to traverse them, especially those with a wheelchair, cane, stroller, or heavy load to carry on top of the slipperiness of it all.
These streets are so not cut out for anything other than able-bodied adults who can walk quickly at the moment.
Fun snow math: when someone says that they “have a ton of snow to shovel”, they are likely not exaggerating. A small driveway (3m by 6m) with 30cm (1ft) of snowfall on it has roughly a tonne of snow on it (about 1 imperial ton)
The ferocious winds in this blizzard are doing a good job of keeping our driveway and cars clear of snow. Sure, there's a monster drift across our walkway, but otherwise it's not doing too badly accumulation-wise.
