I like to use catch all e-mail addresses - that way I can see which vendor brokered my e-mail 📧

Funny enough, Microsoft will refuse to verify business account if you use microsoft@yourfancydomain.tld - they'll tell you it's a violation of their trade mark, which must be fixed by using different e-mail address :blobcatfacepalm:

And you need a verified business account to, say, post a game on :xbox: store :blobcatfearful:

Tech vandalism.

So I pulled a really nice PSU from an old 1RU server... Thinking I would be able to get a really robust 32A (!) 12V PSU...

But of course the underlying technology of everything in tech is build around FUCK YOU PAY ME!
With zero thought about reusability or recycling.

There is like 30 pins with levels from - ve mV to +2.3V.

Apparently you need to know which pin to pull high(or low) to "switch on" the already switched on power supply. Then you need to build a breakout board for this specific PSU.

I will have a quick look if I can find the pinouts, highly unlikely as it's is "trade secret proprietary".
But god, that makes me angry that such a cool piece of solid tech will go to the dump because of broligarchs.

Ight, I need some help picking an approach for my homelab.

Right now I've got 3 raspberry pis (1gb RAM) always on and 2 optiplexes running proxmox which are only on when needed.

Trying to work out whether I should move everything to one of my proxmox machines and just leave a single pi somewhere running a thing to act as a tiebreaker or just leave as is rn.

I run docker on pis with HA, pihole, some discord bots, status things but am kinda limited rn with RAM.
