ON TRIAL - not me, these powerful STIGA SC100e pruning shears. Apologies for the lack of make-up and messy hair but you get to see how these loppers work, enabling me to tackle jobs I thought were beyond me! Thanks to STIGA and Rabbit Attack PR.

Remember those branches from my apple tree, that I put in a vase after pruning? I have apple blossom now!
#pruning advice please! I thought this little #CherryTree was dead; is it too late to do a winter pruning? Our cold weather was about two week of frosty nights, last month. The buds are showing green, just.
Also, all the buds are at the very ends of the branches - *can* i prune them without starving it? Prune a fraction, maybe?
I’m trying to follow _Grow A Little Fruit Tree_, am at the 3rd year.
Here is River. They are the #WellandCommunityOrchard coordinator/educator for the 2025 Winter #FruitTrees #pruning #apprenticeship program - funded by local #FoodSecurity #nonprofit organization, #LifecyclesProject. Today was day 1 of the hands on apprenticeship learning program which runs for just over a month.
Here, River is giving a pruning saw demo on a dwarf apple tree.
I have this plumeria that has made a decision I’m not sure is for its own good. If there are any #gardeners or #horticulturists out there, how does one go about #pruning or rectifying this lean? #flowers #plants #gardening #help
We had a great time #learning, at the Summer #pruning workshop at #WellandCommunityOrchard today.
We learned how to properly prune your #FruitTrees to control disease, enhance the flavour of your backyard harvest & make your trees more fruitful.
I ran into a woman who had also attended the plant based materials photo developing workshop the other day. We exchanged contact info so we can do more community learning events together, in near future.
It was too hot for me to stay for the volunteers work party this afternoon. I have to still work on ripping out more invasive white morning glory vines from side yard & backyard too. I'm taking a cool down break inside basement & heading back out to rip out, after. Going to upload a few nature vids from the heritage orchard park, while cooling down.
I'm a bit peopled out ATM & will get back to messages here, tonight or tomorrow. I have my first nature adventure with a younger volunteer tomorrow afternoon. We're going to one of my fave, nearby forest parks

Before and after—
Okay, I’m done pruning this plant for today.
Lots of deep, shady, interior leaves lopped off.
Additional sucker / side shoots cut off— some I put in water as tho, I don’t know, maybe I would plant them someplace else? We will see.
1st photo at 10am, 2nd just after noon. I’ll take a 2nd “after” tomorrow at 10 (same lighting).
Plant is more compact (good because there’s a smaller tomato plant to its left; it’ll get more sun)
