des connaisseurs en #proxmox et #ntp ici ?
mon serveur proxmox n'est pas à l'heure
root@pve:~# timedatectl
Local time: Sat 2025-04-05 00:07:08 CEST
Universal time: Fri 2025-04-04 22:07:08 UTC
RTC time: Fri 2025-04-04 22:07:08
Time zone: Europe/Paris (CEST, +0200)
System clock synchronized: no
NTP service: active
RTC in local TZ: no
et pourtant NTP service est bien "active", qu'est ce qui ne va pas ?
I am testing out some tech I want to learn more about :-)
I have used #Terraform to create some VMs in my #Proxmox server, then with #kubespray installed a kubernetes cluster on them.
Next I'll install #rook / #ceph so I have some storage, and last but not least I will install #CloudNativePG @CloudNativePG@mastodon.social on it.
If that all works, I'll repeat that in another datacenter to test cloudnativepg replica clusters.
Combining hobby and work..

4 FUCKING TERABYTES WOOOO I'M SO KIND!!
Hi
I've created a program, on-boarding AI engine, which computes security tags for micro-segmentation.
My goal is to produce a dynamic distributed firewall.
Today, though it's still under development, my code working pretty well on a 1000 vms vmware Sphere + NSXT infrastructure and I'm porting it to proxmox pve.
I'm wondering if some people would be interested to beta-test it or have some suggestions about features I should add.
It's possible you've not heard of #boxyBSD
I was lucky to get a TIL moment when @stefano boosted it's existence into my feed.
However you should know about it, learn something about the user perspective from proxmox in the process, while working with a boxyBSD VM.
Here are some nice screencaps of the boxyBSD site so you can ask nicely for a VM and learn to play with one of the *BSD flavours from a distance.
I'm sure you can duckduckgo the address of boxyBSD when you analyze the screencaps, right?
It has arrived. proxyLB v1.1.0 the loadbalancer for proxmox clusters. Instead of telling you the features of this major version I invite you to read about it yourself, download proxyLB then play with it.
As with any great Open Source project, this has grown out of a necessity that @gyptazy has for his other amazing project boxyBSD, which just needs a versatile tool like this.
Now go and play.
Lots of things changed in my #homelab the last few weeks.
- Replaced the Lenovo Thinkstation E32 node
- 4 #Proxmox servers in cluster
- #ProxmoxBackupServer with qdevice
- Each server having 2x #10Gbit, one being a dedicated SAN network
- Enterprice NVMe for ZFS datastore
- Replaced all fibers in the rack with DACs
I'm seeing high temperatures in both my SFF nodes. Need to figure out a way to push some more air in. No fan headers, so I've ordered some #Noctua S-ATA to 4-pin adapter (NA-SAC5).
Even though it's April 1st, this is no joke - #ProxLB 1.1.0 is officially out!
ProxLB is an opensource, advanced and DRS alike open-source load balancing solution for #Proxmox clusters.
Thanks to my company @credativde, I have the opportunity to contribute to this project as part of our commitment to open-source innovation - even during work hours!
So, friends who #selfhost ... Where are we buying big, spinny rust from these days? I just had TWO 8TB (recertified) drives fail. Luckily, they're both ZFS mirror drives, but things breaking is my license to upgrade! #HomeServer #proxmox

#ProxLB - an opensource & advanced VM loadbalancer for #Proxmox clusters. Including affinity & anti-affinity rules, maintenance mode (evacuating nodes) and more. I just published my slides about it.
