The vast majority of websites use HTTPS, which hides the specific pages you visit and any information you submit from anybody who may be trying to eavesdrop on the connection between your computer and the web server. That used to be one of the main benefits of VPNs, but it's no longer needed. (There are of course some situations in which it still makes sense to use a VPN.)</p><p>If you decide you need one, I use <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Mullvad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mullvad</span></a> which is probably among the most privacy-conscious VPN providers, and I quite like it. I've also used <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ProtonVPN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ProtonVPN</span></a> and it seems good as well, although there have been some concerns about the company's public relations. There are many other popular options and you should do some research to find what you like.</p>
