Since there are many #protests against #trump, #musk, #republicans, and ultimately #fascism, it’s important y’all know something about printers and photocopiers. Many add special watermarks to the paper that are identifies the specific device that was used to print the document. Security experts and journalists are fairly certain these were used to identify #whistleblower Reality Winner and ultimately convict her.
Given many people print out pamphlets, posters, etc. it’s important to know that they may inadvertently be leaving a digital fingerprint.
While I’m not a fan of the #EFF as of late, they do maintain a handy list of printers that do not implement tracking dots here: https://www.eff.org/pages/list-printers-which-do-or-do-not-display-tracking-dots
There is also a GitHub project with code that obfuscates those dots, making them unreadable by authorities: https://github.com/dfd-tud/deda.
Right now the legality of protest is codified in the constitution. However, Trump has already flaunted numerous other laws to go after people he perceives as his enemy, so be safe out there. If you are printing protest literature, make certain it can’t be tracked back to you.

A. There is NO evidence that #RumeysaOzturk did any of the things #MarcoRubio said. She wrote an op-ed. That’s it.
B. Even if she had participated in #protests, what the #Trump admin did is NOT the process a #visa holder goes through. Normally you receive a notice & have a month. They arrested her on the street w/no notice, took her phone & belongings, threw her in the back of a van, & flew her to a detention center in a different state.
They may as well have black bagged her.

Make no mistake, the #protests and empty chair town halls for AWOL #GOP Congress critters are having an impact. These are, of course, completely shameless people, so if they are even making deflections and empty gestures about talking to constituents, they realize they have a serious problem. That means the message of arrogant, unaccountable #MAGA electeds is leaking into the MAGA voters now.

Stalwart resisters at Indivisible Northern Colorado held cardboard cutout town halls to protest Lauren Boebert hiding from her constituents. They finally forced her to hold a censored, BS telephone town hall. She was still too scared to even show herself on video for the damn "tele town hall."
