why do some #people use so many #hashtags in thier #posts like they're some kind of #corporate #propaganda account trying to maximize #seo and brand #synergy like their #jobs and #lives and #healthcare depend on it?

like for #art i get it, or #photography, #writing even, maybe even a #game #movie or #tvshow for spoiler tagging. for #communities i can also see the benefit.

but for #brands or #products ? like what is the underlying motive here? is this just how #people talk now a days? am i #missing something here? am i just not in any #fedi #circles that need or use #hashtags ? am i the only one that finds an #overabundance of #hashtags annoying? especially if they #litter the entire post? especially if theres like 50 #variations #variants #different hashtags that #people are using that not everyone can #agree on?

i personally try to #avoid using #hashtags most of the #time because i think other #people find them #annoying , but #intheend is this just a #me thing?
