A vintage postcard showing the massive standing stone known as the Devil's Chair within the huge Avebury complex of stone circles and avenues in Wiltshire. A gentleman sits in the hollow of the stone, gazing off to the side in mellow contemplation. Other massive stones can be seen behind and a horse is on the right, partially obscured by one of the megaliths. Some of the cottages in the village of Avebury, which lies partly within the huge megalithic arrangement, can be seen in the background.
