E con piacere per l'amico @redhunt07 una bella storia che riguarda San Martino delle Scale

All'inizio del 1943 in previsione dei più pesanti bombardamenti si riuscì a mettere in sicurezza e a salvare il patrimonio artistico del Museo Archeologico Regionale di Palermo "Antonio Salinas" per l'impegno e il coraggio dell'allora direttrice, l'Archeologa Jole Bovio Marconi.

Le opere furono imballate e trasportate presso il Monastero di San Martino delle scale dove rimasero parecchi anni prima della riapertura anche perché il 5 aprile del 1943 una bomba colpi un'ala del Museo e la vicina chiesa di Sant'Ignazio D'Antiochia.

Se state guardando su Netflix la serie TV "Il Gattopardo", tratta dal romanzo di Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, la storia, ambientata nella Palermo del 1860, si intreccia con l'insurrezione garibaldina, lo sbarco dei mille in Sicilia, sotto la guida di Giuseppe Garibaldi, la battaglia contro l'oppressione borbonica, iniziata il 27 maggio.
