After three years of relentless tracking, we’ve published a [paper](blogs.infoblox.com/threat-inte) that, for the first time, exposes the true identities behind VexTrio. This research connects real names to the various companies that form the VexTrio ecosystem. It begins with the origin story—how a group of Italians launched a successful spam and dating business. Over time, VexTrio expanded its operations into malicious adtech and online scams. For over a decade, the group employed deceptive tactics to defraud countless innocent internet users. These illegitimate gains funded the extravagant lifestyles of VexTrio’s key figures—who, despite increasing scrutiny, have yet to be fully stopped.

We’re deeply grateful to all the contributors who helped us reach this research milestone, especially @rmceoin and Tord from [Qurium](qurium.org/).

Infoblox Blog · VexTrio Unveiled: Inside the Notorious Scam EnterpriseWe expose adtech operators who partner with malware threat actors to commit digital fraud on a global scale through their affiliate advertising networks.

Apologies if I haven't responded or interacted with you since at least July 1st. Just figured out that the frontend for #Mastodon changed, and inside of the Notifications tab, there are now multiple notification category tabs and for some reason it seems to default to New Follower notifications instead of All Notifications. Hope this helps others with #notifications getting lost.

I don't know how to use this app called `ntfy`. Maybe it requires more advanced IT and technical knowledge. I would like to use it for my server, so that whenever people like my post, the `ntfy` app will send a notification directly to my phone.

@empathicqubit Good question. I'd recommend you to check this with @monocles developers.

Personally, I run all my #XMPP+#OMEMO through @torproject /#Tor anyway, so my battery runtime is pretty garbage...

#Monocles does - AFAICT - allow to configure #notifications but since it's basically always connected that makes not much of a difference for battery runtim. Tho you can set it to if, when and how it notifies you.

MastodonDEEmpathicQubit (@empathicqubit@mastodon.de)For those that run an #XMPP server, does it seem safe enough to enable XEP-0357 if one is concerned about third party data leaks to push notification services? Is #OMEMO enough to nullify concerns? I'm using #Monocles and #Prosody and I'm trying to optimize battery usage on #Android / #LineageOS

#listen. if you #like/ #reblog my #posts fairly frequently, you better believe that i have noticed ok. even if we don’t ever #talk. if we aren’t even #mutuals! doesn’t matter. i see you. i see your #URL pop up in my #notifications every so often. and when it does? oh, when it does……… i’m like “oh hey there’s my buddy! gee i sure missed you pal!” and i get real happy for a minute ok. sorry, i don’t make the rules.

I'm wondering if there is a way to gather the notifications that arrive for various apps, and echo them in one preferred app, all within the device. A functionality that could added by installing one new app, with servers and apps otherwise working as normal.
