@changemewtf welcome to the real web!
I felt this way too when I started using #NoScript regularly after seeing it come by default on KNOPPIX way back. At first I was "argh, what a nuisance, why would anyone disable javascript? It't what makes the web work" but then I quickly realized how SO much better everything was this way.
@PabloMartini That's why one needs to use #UblockOrigin and espechally #NoScript to block #Google's Servers & Services!
Nobody: "How much bullshit can we shove into our website?"
#deel: YES!
And that's just the crap that #uBlockOrigin and #NoScript caught:

Seriously, I get that not everyone is able to do #accessible and #performant #forms and #Websites and that #JavaScript is trendy and hip.
Found an incredible indie app that's a #Safari extension for #iOS called "Sheriff". It blocks JavaScript just like the desktop browser extension #NoScript, and Sheriff is probably the only free extension that can do this on iOS Safari right now. Of course it has a lot of pro features, well worth trying.
Great work! Love this app! (the developer @primatologyxyz )
@vfrmedia the good thing for sites like @vantablack 's is that I can just allow her site with two clicks in #NoScript.
Has the NoScript browser extension changed any policy about loading webfonts even if the site is not trusted? Until ~now it showed default fonts in a site (as defined by both CSS rules and available fonts in the host) until the site was marked as "trusted," either temporary or permanent.
But this seems to have changed because I can now read a few sites with their intended custom webfonts even if I have set them to "untrusted."
Restyling completed!
Now the site works just fine even with #Javascript totally disabled. But if you expect to listen to my podcast using the built-in player (which is handwritten) this will not work. However I placed several <noscript>
tags explaining here and there what is not expected to work without JS.
At least all the content is readable and also rendering works just fine even after stripping almost half of the original CSS.

...#JavaScript off, e.g. with the #NoScript add-on) reduces the #surveillance in your life.
(Alas, Java script is necessary for a lot of websites.)

How many Engineers are needed to change a lightbulb? Or: how many web servers are needed to serve a mostly static page?
#NoScript 11.5.x is out (#Firefox & @torproject only)
Main news:
Minimum compatibility bumped from Firefox 59 to 115, allowing for huge code modernization opportunities (11.4.44rc1 is still available for older browsers and #chrome in forced MV2 mode)
Switched NoScript and the NoScript Commons Library to a fully stateless architecture: a major step toward #MV3 compatibility (coming with NoScript 12.0 alpha for #chromium-based browsers later this month)
E quale usare?
