When I came out to my parents as non-binary, I was shocked to find there were very few resources available that applied to my situation as a grown adult. I've spent the time since then cobbling together the resources I could find into one post, so others have something they can use, whether they're a non-binary person about to come out to their parents, or whether they're parents whose adult child just came out as non-binary. I hope this is helpful to folks! Feel free to share. #nonbinary

If you have been stopped, challenged or harassed when using a single-sex space (such as toilets or changing rooms) since the UK's Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act. We need to hear from you.

Maybe your employer has changed their policy on which loo you can use. Perhaps you've been asked to leave the changing rooms at the gym.

Imagine a world where the UK leads on trans rights and is a safe haven for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. Hate crime at a historic low and services designed to meet the needs of trans people. At the moment that feels like a dream.

We’ve partnered with Lush and My Genderation to educate the wider public on trans people’s lived experiences in the UK and our hopes for a better future.

I had an internal stigma; "TransGirls" tend to be faux valley girl, ultra-fem, and overcompensating...(Doesn't help the portrayal in media ) It's also why I've always identified as Enby rather than a TG. But I've came to accept that there are CisGirls that are tomboys = no reason for a TG not to be a tomboy either... (And being a tomboy doesn't necessarily correlate TransMasc either)

While this article is from last year it is worth a read considering the loss of corporate support many Pride organiazations are experiencing this year. Maybe going local is a good way to build or rebuild community support.

From the article: "With the month of June here, now is a great time to celebrate Pride Month! Pride Month serves as an important reminder to embrace diversity and support the LGBTQ+ community, not just during the month of June — but all year round.

"While hanging a rainbow flag in your shop’s window is supportive, you can take more meaningful actions to support our LGBTQ+ friends and become a stronger ally in your community. Whether you’re a small coffee shop or a larger daycare, you can create inclusive environments, organize pride events, and show your support in meaningful ways — and we’ll give you some simple ideas on how to do it.

"The Small Business Administration (SBA) is getting on board, too, committing to put more resources into the LGBTQ+ community by focusing on equity in the small business world. In fact, the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce estimates there are “1.4 million LGBTQ+-owned businesses in the United States (U.S.), and they generate more than $1.7 trillion in economic impact.” By the SBA focusing more resources on LGBTQ+ businesses, even more of these businesses will be successful in the future."
