It's a fun project, but I was more interested in the 8x8 #Neopixel #Matrix
So I bought a couple of the #Waveshare #ESP32S3 8x8 boards, and printed out a couple of cases.
The boards work really well - I had an idea in mind when I ordered them, but now I forgot what I wanted to do with them.... I guess I'll make an #emjoi #display after all..... LOL

The bespoke 16x16 pixel tree topper is back at our house this year, for its 4th season.

It’s a WS2812b (#neopixel) based matrix powered by custom #micropython firmware on #ESP32.

This year it features a new 3D printed case, and a fresh #iOS app for drawing on it, locally.

I don't. That's why I made voltage controlled LEDs from left over and cheap ATtiny25 chips and recycled Neopixels.

Two CV-Iputs can control five different color, brightness and speed parameters.
