USpol, healthcare
@nando161 OFC not, cuz in the #USA, #healthcare isn't a #HumanRight, but a #commodity.
The abdurdity of #ForProfitHealthcare in the #US is clear when travel insurances have no problem covering a hyperbaric chamber treatment and low-altitude #MEDEVAC|s for #ScubaDiving but flatout refuse to cover the USA AT ALL!
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday demanded that 2,500 children be immediately evacuated from Gaza for medical treatment after meeting with U.S. doctors who said the children were at imminent risk of death in the coming weeks.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said 55 Palestinian patients and 72 caregivers have been evacuated from Gaza and sent to the United Arab Emirates for specialised medical treatment.
Patients included those suffering from autoimmune and blood diseases, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, eye and renal issues, trauma injuries, neurological disorders, and skin diseases.
The WHO also warned that more than 12,000 patients still require medical evacuation from Gaza.

Among them are at least 2,500 children who UNICEF says must be transported immediately.
