Ugh! What a Day!<p>Another recent MOTU acquisition: Masterverse New Eternia Jitsu!</p><p>The original 1980s Jitsu wasn't the uh... most subtle looking character so it's interesting that the New Eternia version tones things down a lot.</p><p>I am happier than a middle-aged person should perhaps be that Jitsu's large, shiny chopping hand is still large, shiny and ready for chopping! Ugly Walmart-exclusive Vintage Faker is up for pre-order in UK on my usual <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Masterverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Masterverse</span></a> source 'Whole Shebang' but it's £28.99 instead of £24.99 (i guess cos import) which makes it even more unappealing, but the completionist urge... </p><p>meh.</p>
Ugh! What a Day!<p>A recent-ish purchase was this version of Skeletor from the new Vintage Collection Masterverse sub line! Kind of plain but has nice paint applications and I really like the face sculpt!</p><p>Like that 40th Anniversary He-Man, this is meant to be very reminiscent of the old original 1980s figure. Dare I say it's worked better for Skeletor than He-Man?</p><p>Also a big shout out to the box artist! Carnivius<p>Masterverse New Eternia Panthor</p><p>Great figure. Superb art on the box too. Only crit is same I had with Battle Cat: I wish the head could turn to side more. Ugh! What a Day!<p>Got Slush Head last month but had to do a couple of small repairs on him. Ugh! What a Day!<p>Here's Masterverse New Eternia Buzz-Off to brighten up your Friday!</p><p>The original 1980s figure had an almost Zen-like smile which isn't really replicated here, but it's still an awesome head sculpt. What a Day!<p>Couple of Masterverse arrivals brightened me up a bit while I was ill: 40th Anniversary He-Man and Revelation Beast Man!</p><p>This He-Man figure is supposed to be a bit more reminiscent of the original toy but done in the Masterverse format. Carnivius<p>Masterverse Vintage Skeletor</p><p>Eh, he's fine. Just so basic. Doesn't help that he came right after the fantastic Battle Armor Skelly which feels so much better value. This one is kind of a retail version of the 40th anniversary two pack minus all the interesting bits. So has 'pillow pecs' but no metallic weapons, no moving jaw. The armour seems too dark and looks almost black in photos. Not a bad figure. Ugh! What a Day!<p>Had a MOTU Masterverse figure arrive today - Slush Head! Unfortunately two of his accessories were broken in the packaging. They look fixable but what's the best glue to use? Carnivius<p>Masterverse New Eternia Skelcon</p><p>I had to wait 40 years to have Skelcons but they're great. They were some of Skeletor's troops in the 80s Ladybird books and appeared in 2021's Revelation too. There was a Classics figure but that's silly money as it only came with the Roton and I prefer Masterverse anyways.
