It's been almost been 3 months of broken UI elements in #loopsvideo #loops
I can't block user profiles that post content I dislike/not interested in since the button/menu doesn't work.
There's even an open issue on Github

@dansup Like button in #LoopsVideo was not responsive this morning. Posted a couple of loops and it had stopped seemingly working.

I remain skeptical. It is NOT free software at this point. HOWEVER, in the FAQ they promise to "open source" it.
I will take them at their word. In the meantime, we still have #PeerTube.

In short: if you really intend to federate, respect your users and their data.
Implementing federation while keeping these terms is a severe breach of trust, and would poison the entirety of the network in an way which will cripple ActivityPub, and undermine the very foundation of what AP stands for with regard to privacy, data ownership, and control over what we post to the network.
Hopefully that's not your intention. Is it?

With TikTok going the way of the dinosaurs this Sunday I cannot recommend #LoopsVideo enough as an alternative that is still going to be around even beyond the TikTok ban
Joined loops.video. Don't have a list of videos I'm looking to make or anything.
I've never used one of these short video platforms, and thought I'd see what all the fuss is about.

Delete your #Facebook and go join #Friendica instead. Trust me you'll have a better time, and still enjoy the same features for the most part.
Delete your #Instagram and go join #Pixelfed. It has a lot of the same features and it is free, doesn't have ads, and isn't run by a corporation.
Delete your #Threads, #Bluesky, or #Twitter account, and go join #Mastodon. Trust me you won't miss anything from them since Mastodon is a lot like them without the ads, or the corporate shittyness.
Go try out #LoopsVideo instead of #TikTok. It is shaping up to be a great alternative to TikTok.
Go try out #PeerTube it is a lot like #YouTube, and it doesn't have ads, nor any of the crap that comes from being owned by #Google.
Go try out #OwnCast it is a lot like #Twitch, but it is more free and doesn't have ads ruining the live streams.
Go try out #Lemmy it is similar to #Reddit.
