I read that some schools are assigning less, and in some cases zero, homework these days.

Between grades five and six I switched from a school system that gave maybe 15-30 minutes of homework per day to one that assigned 2-3 hours of it per day.

Some studying every night can be beneficial, I think, but having hours of homework every day meant I had at most 30-60 minutes of free time each day. That was detrimental to my emotional and physical health.
