Add student activists, immigrants, trans people. And don't forget, the registries for autistic people and Jews. And camps for people with disabilities, depression, anxiety, and autism.

Honestly, we're already nearing the end of Pastor Niemoller's poem w/almost no resistance. If people wait much longer, their won't be enough people left for a General Strike to make any difference.

No one is Free until we ALL are Free!

For a World without Bosses, Landlords, Priests or Kings!

Today in Labor History April 27, 1825: The first strike for the 10-hour workday was started by carpenters in Boston. At the time, employers often forced people to work over fourteen hours a day. Boston workers struck again in 1827. Both strikes were unsuccessful. However, in 1835, they struck again for the 10-hour workday. This time, they organized a travelling committee to expand the movement. Influenced by their comrades in Philadelphia, Irish workers on the Schuylkill River coal wharves, joined the strike. They threatened to kill anyone who crossed their lines and attempted to unload coal. These actions led to the 1835 Philadelphia General Strike, the first General Strike in America. 20,000 workers participated. And it spread quickly to other cities. By the end of 1835, the 10-hour workday had become the norm in most major U.S. cities.

They have in common ascending an ever-thinning tree, until it bends and breaks after which gravity takes over.

Aside from the transactional allies whose heads are stepped on and fall earlier, unfortunately there is always a large crowd of bystanders down below, getting hammered by wreckage. That's us.

Best stop him before potential energy of his fall grows and becomes kinetic.

Get out on the streets. Deny services.

That's all we've ever been allowed to teach. And the repression started well before Trump was elected.

Good luck teaching anything even remotely supportive of the Arab or Muslim experience. Forget anything that even mentions the word Palestine. And that's in the "liberal" San Francisco Bay Area.

There are already other places in the U.S., like Florida, where you can be fired simply for saying the word "Gay."

And who remembers hearing anything in school about Marx, socialism, anarchism, that wasn't completely negative? Anything about MLK's support of labor unions and opposition to the Vietnam War? General Strikes? The Tulsa pogrom? The Battle of Blair Mountain or the Great Train Strike of 1877 (the 2 largest insurrections and 2 largest labor uprisings in the U.S. since the Civil War)???

Dozens of books banned from school libraries and from the curriculum.

80 years ago today the people of Milan and Turin helped liberate themselves and crush the fascist Mussolini with a spontaneous General Strike. They shut it down, and liberation was declared. Strikes WORK when we DON'T WORK.
