Commit notifications via email and http/json can now be configured via gotsys,conf, making this feature available to Game of Trees Hub users, too.

service based on OpenBSD and the Game of Trees version control system.
Game of Trees servers interoperate with any Git client. Users access Git
repositories securely via Git's SSH protocol, based on OpenSSH, and manage
their repository space by committing a configuration file to a special-purpose
Git repository. The configuration file controls user accounts, repositories,
access permissions, and more.
Each Game of Trees Hub project space runs in a dedicated virtual machine on top of the OpenBSD vmm hypervisor. Git repository services in virtual machines are
implemented by the Game of Trees gotd, gotwebd, and gotsysd servers.
Our service is funded by its users, and we want our users to know how the money they contribute is used by us. All financial transactions related to the service are published
on a public ledger on our Open Collective page.
This talk presents our motivation for starting a shared Git hosting project
based on Game of Trees, discuss our community structure, financial aspects,
and some technical internals.
Our first server for #git repository hosting with #gameoftrees has been installed in Hamburg, Germany. It is hosted by https://www.bsws.de
It was in fact installed last week already but it took a few days and another visit to the datacenter to sort out UEFI serial console redirection shenanigans which interfered with booting our #OpenBSD installation from softraid crypto on top of GPT.

We are building the Game of Trees Hub, a #Git repository hosting service based on #gameoftrees and #OpenBSD, funded via an open collective.
Our Git repository server implementation can already be self-hosted on OpenBSD and Linux, but:
1) Not everyone can or wants to self-host.
2) Most people don't need yet another Git hosting service, though some people might appreciate a financially transparent and independent service that supports both public and private repositories, has no intentions of abusing user data, and is not striving for infinite growth.
3) Ever since the Game of Trees project started as a side project in 2017 it has received zero financial support. And with developers growing up and having families with children to support, unpaid work on Game of Trees has been eating its way into working hours. Which is not sustainable in the long term.
Can we make a win-win situation out of this dilemma?

For now, this is an early-bird crowd-funding effort to support the initial work on getting the service up and running. Git repository service tiers will appear once the hosting infrastructure is ready. The more initial funds we can collect the faster we will get there.
All software developed will be released under the ISC license, the same open source license terms as used by OpenBSD.
