Today is the post-conference crash day. It was delayed this time.
Best conference I've ever been to (PyCamp is not a conference).

Pretty sure #EuroPython 2025 was my top 1 fav conference ever. Just the perfect mixture of catching up with people I know, meeting people I don’t know, learning new things. Time well spent chatting w/ Python veterans and also first-timers
Volunteering there was ACE, and for #Django people, I’m thankful we got to have a booth, and birthday cake for our project
THANK YOU to everyone who was part of this - attendees, organizers, sponsors, everyone
Thanks to everyone for taking part in the #CPython sprint at #EuroPython2025!
Across all CPython repos this weekend:
* 122 PRs created (69 the previous weekend)
* 79 PRs merged (65)
* countless invaluable in-person discussions (a few?)
Tak EuroPython je za námi. Nevím jak to má @daria, ale tento můj týden bude myslím ve znamení makrodávkování kávy.
Today wraps up #EuroPython2025 for me. I wanted to visit the first day of the sprints, but did the same mistake as last year by having way too tight of a schedule. At least I'm in not stuck in Leipzig at 1 AM
This year was a blast! I don't know if it was objectively better, but it was better for me personally. I could overcome shyness way better than last time and made more great acquaintances It makes having to leave now even sadder, but I'm looking forward to next year's #EuroPython (and maybe some other conferences in the meantime, who knows
)
At #EuroPython2025 in Prague for #FediDonutFriday yesterday, I had potato doughnuts with cottage cheese and plum butter
At #EuroPython2025, a seat has been reserved for the late Michael Foord.
To help remember his wisdom, I've made @voidbot to share his best practices for software development and testing. Follow and learn!

Last night was the social event at EuroPython 2025. For me, it started a little early with a delicious pizza with Antonio in the center of Prague, and then continued on Střelecký Island with tons of people, despite the rain. Thanks to the organizers for creating these moments of networking.
In 2025, #HTMX is still a broken development pattern #europython2025
Next up... @miguelgrinberg with the much anticipated talk "Microdot, the impossibly small web framework for Python and MicroPython".
I am super happy that I have met Miguel in person for the very first time. I had been reading his books and blog posts many, many years ago, and I learned so much.
Thank you!
Also thanks to the many volunteers at #europython2025 who make this a wonderful and memorable event.
The AI keynote #europython2025 has been for the most part pointless and unreflected.
"We can just bump the version and move on."

It was an honor to attend the PyLadies lunch at EuroPython today.
I met new people and listened to many stories. I hope I can help promote PyLadies and PyLadies Con.
Full house and interesting questions about features, PEPs and more at the "CPython Core Development Panel" at #europython2025 in Prague.
Brett Cannon, Python Core Developer, is presenting the opening keynote of the second day of EuroPython 2025, on "Why it took 4 years to get a lock files specification."
The second day of #europython2025 starts with the much anticipated keynote from @brettcannon about "Why it took 4 years to get a lock files specification".
The first minutes of the presentation already show that the self-proclaimed tall, snarky Canadian also has a great sense of humor.
Thanks for coming to Europe to share your experience!

Excellent lightning talks at #EuroPython, including:
the now-traditional, mandatory meta-lightning talk about lightning talks, by Sebastien Williams-Wynn
essential tips on saying no -- "if the answer is no, answer immediately. if it's yes, wait 24h" -- plus the pictured estimation advice
a fun rhyming talk on the perils of float: 0.1 + 0.2 and friends
cool signal processing by Stanley Langa turning secret audio into images
Walking around Vyšehrad, I stumbled upon a statue of „@frenzy with a song“! What a great find on a nice #EuroPython day.
It’s also #Pyvo today. Join us all in the Na hradbách pub, free entrance. Meet all the #Python folks, both from Prague and from all the Europe and beyond! More at https://pyvo.cz
