In a filing ~45 mins after the deadline had passed, #DOJ lawyers wrote:

“In light of the insufficient amount of time afforded to review the Supreme Court’s Order following the dissolution of the administrative stay in this case, Defendants are not in a position where they 'can’ share any information requested by the Court. That is the reality.”

This is another escalation of the #Trump admin’s refusal to acknowledge the #equal #power of the #JudicialBranch.

If the idea is that all people should have an #equal say in the direction of #production, then what we need is #economic democracy. Economic #democracy- at the level of #private firms, #public services, & #finance - would enable us to direct production in more socially beneficial ways.

Bizarrely, some claim that this feature of #capitalism is a "strength", because the direction of #production becomes the sum of individuals' desires.

But this is clearly false. Capitalism does *not* enable all people to have an #equal say in the direction of production.

The flights suggest the #Trump admin may be growing more brazen in its defiance of judicial restraint. The #US #Constitution established the #judiciary as a co-#equal & #independent branch of government.

Trump has sought to *push* [illegally expand] the boundaries of #ExecutivePower since taking office in Jan, cutting spending authorized by #Congress, dismantling #FederalAgencies & firing tens of thousands of #FederalWorkers.

#Trump has also tried to remove more than a dozen #InspectorsGeneral, as well as members of the National #Labor Relations Board [#NLRB] & the #Equal Employment Opportunity Commission [#EEOC]. Many of the ousted ofcls are contesting their removals in court.

In addition to fighting his own ouster, Dellinger has been arguing that the admin’s #MassFirings of probationary #FederalWorkers is illegal.

In the coming weeks, the docs show, #DOGE has planned for the #Trump admin to trim staff from dozens of offices across the executive branch, including those that protect employees’ #CivilRights & others that investigate complaints of employment #discrimination in the federal workplace. Among the groups targeted are a #VeteransAffairs office that works to ensure all #veterans receive #equal #access to care & an office within #HHS that provides info about the #health of minority populations.

In a pivotal #transgender #healthcare #case, the #Corrupt #US #SupremeCourt will decide how far #equalprotection extends, potentially determining if #equalrights apply to all or only to those deemed '#acceptable' by those in #power.
