A cat stands very still, slyly glancing at the tip of its tail, where a hopeful fish has come for a nibble. On the tip of its tail grows a bit of tasty-looking vegetation. Its orange body has seaweed shaped patterns. From the top of the kitties head, branching flowers of green and orange blossom and sway, enticing the unwary to come closer. Had a dream about my characters. Also contending with some unanticapated grief that bubbled up during writing (yeah, I had the feels big time, but hey it's part of the creative process). This song resulted. Which is a good thing. Because I'm trying to be more vulnerable in art and life.

I dreamed I went back to Nackawic, the rural town where I attended high school. For some reason, a young, creepy guy started crushing on me even though I'm almost old enough to be his grandma. He kept trying to give me gifts, many of which were bookmarks from his church. I had a hard time getting away from him. I wandered around the little shopping centre which was filled with a lot of mostly-naked folks getting ready for a gothic fashion show. I was surprised to see teens were still sporting mall hair and wearing acid wash jeans. I tried to catch a bus to leave, but it kept circling back and dropping me off with the Bible guy. #dream #DreamLog

I had a really detailed #dream of how I was working on a law degree and did all the academic work, but failed to submit a paper in a class at the end because I couldn't make a coherent argument about some obtuse topic. So I decided not to sit the bar exam. I attended a cohort party where I had to repeatedly tell everyone how I failed to complete the work. Some people were nice to me and understood. Other people were aloof and condescending. Oddly the dream made me feel good.
