Cryptomator just decrypted all my vaults on an Ubuntu-based Distro after restarting and half the information that was there is missing.
This is absolutely unbelievable - can one really trust this software?
Luckily it's still on the server.
Cool Cybersecurity Tip to Secure Your Accounts:
Use multiple YubiKeys with the Yubico Authenticator app for TOTP. Accounts are stored on the keys, not the app.
Set up one YubiKey, then screenshot the QR and backup codes to load the same account onto other keys.
Save these screenshots in encrypted storage (like Cryptomator with Dropbox) for easy recovery if a YubiKey is lost.
Keep the backup keys in separate places, the main on you.
The countdown is on!
Only a few days left to get 25% off Cryptomator (one-time purchase) and 25% off Cryptomator Hub (first year).
