#FensterFreitag: I usually prefer to show one #window only, but with #Hundertwasser, it's impossible to pick one because almost every window is unique!

This is the "Green Citadel" (#GrüneZitadelle) in #Magdeburg, one of Hundertwasser's last projects. I love this #building, it's a great addition to the city, right next to the cathedral. It houses flats, a hotel, cafés and restaurants, small shops, and a great little theatre. It also features two beautiful courtyards (one with a fountain), and a public toilet that's also all Hundertwasser, including a fish tank. 😂 It looks a bit dreary in winter without the lush greens that are integral to Hundertwasser's design and philosophy. Expect more snaps later in the year to see all its #colourful glory!

A medium shot captures the whimsical and colourful facade of the Hundertwasserhaus (The Green Citadel) in Magdeburg, Germany. The building boasts an irregular and organic design, characteristic of Friedensreich Hundertwasser's architectural style. The primary colours are pink and cream, with vertical stripes of darker, rough-textured material. Windows of various shapes and sizes, many framed with bright blue, are scattered across the facade seemingly at random. The building features multiple levels, with some balconies adorned with colourful, bulbous elements and greenery. A prominent cylindrical tower with numerous dark-framed windows rises from the left side of the structure, contrasting with the more pastel tones of the main building. The roofline is uneven and features decorative elements. At ground level, there are arched doorways and colourful, mosaic-like pillars supporting an overhang.

#Intovertierte: seid einfach da. Beobachtet das alles vom #Rand aus. Schießt eure tollen #Fotos oder seid einfach unsichtbar aber dennoch da. Traut eucht, schnell von einer Seite zur anderen zu huschen und versteckt euch dann hinter den anderen Menschen. Ihr müsst nicht #laut und #bunt in der Menge stehen! Es reicht, wenn ihr irgendwo am Rand in eurer (minimalen) #Komfortzone präsent seid. Niemand von euch muss eine #Rampensau sein, um legitim an einer Demo teilhaben zu können.

Wer strickt noch gerne? 👾

Im Hotel, auf Reisen, feierabends, neben dem TV gucken (Faszination Afrika, 3sat) stricke ich als Entspannung sehr gerne. Auch zuhause, abends vor dem TV.

Hier sind Toe-Up Socken angenadelt. Die #secondhand gekaufte #Wolle heißt "Christmas", mich erinnert sie farblich eher an den Herbst.

Egal, die Farben sind farbig & das Ergebnis wird #bunt , farbenfroh und kuschlig, das ist alles was zählt.

Auf einer dunkelroten samtigen Drehstuhlsitzfläche liegt ein Knäuel Farbverlaufswolle, mit den Farben weiß, gelb, orange, rot, grau, dunkelgrün. Auf dem Wollknäuel zwei angefangene Strickstücke, toe up - Socken. Links eine Sockenspitze mit dem bisherigen Verlauf orange, rot, grau auf vier Stricknadeln. Ebenso auf 4 Stricknadeln eines silbrig-metallenen Nadelspiels angenadelt ist eine zweite Sockenspitze, beginnend bei orange, über gelb, zu weiß. Ein oranger Maschenmarkierer, eine Kunststoffklammer, markiert den Rundenanfang der rechts liegenden Socke. Die beiden Sockenspitzen sind auf dem Wollknäuel mit einer senkrecht durch gespießten Stricknadel fixiert.

Bis kurz vor die Fersen gestricktes Sockenpaar auf Füßen. Die Füße liegen auf der Sitzfläche eines mit dunkelrotem Samt bezogenen Drehstuhls. Die Fußspitzen sind zueinander gerichtet, wie ein auf den Kopf gestelltes V - wobei die Zehen des rechten Fußes einen Teil der linken Fußspitze überdecken. Bei der linken toe up gestrickten Socke sieht man von der Spitze her betrachtet den Farbverlauf gelb/weiß/grün/grau/rot/orange/gelb, jeweils dickere Balken. Im gelb sichtbar die aktuelle Runde, mit einer metallenen Stricknadel eines 20 cm Nadelspiels. Die rechte Socke hat, auch von der Spitze her gesehen, den Farbverlauf rot/grau/grün/weiß/gelb/orange/rot. Aktuell wird in der Farbe grau gestrickt, was rechts außerhalb des Fokusses an einer Stricknadel mit 15 grauen Maschen zu sehen ist. An der Spitze der rechtsen Socke ist ein kurzes Stück türkiser Faden eingezogen und zu einem Schleifchen verknotet, als Rundenmarkierer.
