“With a trio of smaller satellites that can each detect 26 wavelengths of light, the Landsat Next mission is expected to look very different from its predecessors that have been observing Earth for 50 years. This new plan for Landsat Next, a joint mission of NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey, is designed to provide more frequent, and finer resolution, data of the changing surface of Earth…”

More modelling cross-fertilisation please!

Models of human cognition and behaviour in the applied sciences often lack a foundation in theory from cognitive science. Conversely, much fundamental human modelling research is not being applied in the real world. Connecting the two perspectives can bring great value on both ends.

I am therefore very happy to be joining the editorial board of Computational Brain & Behavior - already a great journal for rigorous cognitive modelling - specifically to advocate for increased fundamental-applied connections.

Do you think your modelling research is of interest from both fundamental and applied perspectives? Consider sending it to CB&B! And don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
