When they designed MCP, the idea was to quickly and easily extend chat interfaces with tool functionality (and a whole bunch of other stuff that folks ignore in the protocol!). What I would like to achieve today is to give you simple guidance on when, how, and where to use MCP without shooting yourself in the foot (such as with Github’s latest MCP server disaster, an exploit that left private repository data vulnerable to attackers)."

I'm not kidding, you know?

I am too smart for all of the commercial corporate interests and that whole oppression via agency or by augmented means against true software developers.

We pinpointed this problem about lack of access to #APIs years ago.

They accused us of not knowing what we were talking about and of being "out of touch" with the needs of clients by saying in so many words that we were daydreaming about new possibilities.

Today I just feel bitter.
