Tiny delights on Monday morning:

1. Two different age groups of Canada goslings at the wetlands. Soooo cute!
2. Coming in from the cold, damp, and wind to enjoy a hot cup of tea and a soft blanket.
3. Getting my monthly b12 shot ... helps with the fatigue SO MUCH.

Monday, Mar 31 ️️

1. Granddaughter No. 2 dropped off tomato plants, soil & a cage this morning. First thing I’ll get to if it ever stops raining!
2. The green haze hovering around my crape myrtles & volunteer oaks has turned overnight into masses of this season’s leaves, and more roses have bloomed.
3. I’ve been invited to consider moving to AZ or NC, near my sons…which is gratifying, but I think my roots in this home & garden are too deep to transplant. A conundrum.

2. Carob, that darling of the 1980s health-food crowd, has still not replaced chocolate everywhere. Thank you, Jesus.

3. It's Monday, and a new font has dropped.

1) Gorgeous weather for a long lunch outdoors with wife’s nephew and his new wife in #Gaithersburg.
2) Afternoon homemade hazelnut cake & coffee with friends & mother-in-law, followed by a walk in balmy weather.
3) Kiddo coming out of her shell with people. Love it when others get to see how funny and sharp she is.

Three good things today:
1. A successful guided walk in the floodplain forest with friends from the zen sangha and other people. Also walking meditation. Tea together in the field.The forest is full of flowers. This is the peak of the spring flower season.
2. Online conversation with brother.
3. A bath full of hot water.

I went into town today for the first time in yonks and

1. Went to a spooky, macabre art market and bought some spooky and macabre things (and a Miss Piggy pin up)

2. Met my parents and they made me wear the Star Wars Mickey Mouse ears they brought back from Disneyworld (I suspect for the express purpose of making me wear them in public) which was fun

3. The Beef made homemade burgers and I love him and also burgers and maybe not being anaemic soon
