I just went to the corporate product home page.
contourdesign.com/products/shu
but I dont see where they support standard operating systems like #linux, in any flavor and they say nothing about shotcut.

The corporation only mentions 2 proprietary OSes and only a few versions of each.

Can anyone verify that it works with linux ubuntu 24.*?

100$ is a lot to risk.

When will the corp support #linux or any other #FLOSS OS?

Ars has a wild story, which I had never heard, of NASA in the Space Shuttle days taking precautions against possible mental breakdown of space travelers. In particular, the commander could install a padlock on the shuttle's hatch. @ZachWeinersmith. did this come up in your research?
