Product idea:
Software that automatically manages a medical office's appointment delays by texting the patients their expected appointment start time. Patients would prefer to do something with their time other than sit in the waiting room.
Some airlines do this with flight delays, so passengers don't rush for nothing, then pile up at the airport.
But for other folks, dark mode renders content unreadable.
This is the key concept in #accessibility – give your users options, and give them control over their experience.
Respect their choices and fulfil their needs.
Saying “No-one using our service has accessibility needs” is a bit like saying “We don’t need a ramp, no-one in a wheelchair has ever come up the stairs”.
While I agree with Stéphanie here, I'd argue that you can still aim for 'delightful' in enterprise UX - but what constitutes delight is different in this context.
People are delighted if you can take a complicated multi-stage process and make it easier and, above all, faster. Time is the currency in this environment.

Take of the day: You're not accessible if the phone number of your helpdesk is not on your website.
Your architected system is cool and all, but you probably didn't think of people with disabilities. Be reachable. Always.

I also work on a large #dairy #farm (1800 acres/728ha) where we run between 800 and 1000 cattle supplying to the Bega Group.
