What the heck is that? I watched Section 31 today and still don't know whether to laugh or cry. What happened to the Star Trek feeling? This is pure trash. I think it's bringing tears to @georgetakei 's eyes. I'm just still in shock. Really unbelievably bad from my point of view, not just from a Trekie point of view.

Just finished #StarTrek #Section31 and while not exactly high brow it was OK afternoon entertainment. I’ve seen many worse things and some of the comments about it really are a bit overblown. I mean at least it wasn’t a musical and it was better than most of Discovery and shorter than Picard S2.

Por fin me he visto la #película de #Section31 y, aunque no es tan mala como la pintaban, tampoco es mucho mejor. Es una película de aventuras de sábado por la tarde (literalmente) cuyo mayor crimen es decir que es una película de #StarTrek. Desde el reboot del 2009 de Abrams no ha habido ninguna película que continúe el espíritu original de ese universo. Al menos es entretenida y los efectos especiales están bien, pero es extremadamente olvidable y no la salva ni Michelle Yeoh.

In seiner Eröffnungswoche hat es 'Star Trek: Sektion 31' auf Platz 8 der meistgesehenen Streaming-Filme in den USA geschafft. In Woche 2 fällt der Film aus den Top 10.

This movie is Fine. It's perfectly Fine. As long as you can almost completely ignore that it is Star Trek (this is VERY easy).

It's like a live action Rick and Morty episode, one of the big-bitch big-budget episodes you know the ones. Hell it's basically the heist episode with less meta.

So, amidst everything else flooding the zone, I missed this report earlier in the week.

The Star Trek Section 31 movie broke the Nielsen top ten streaming movie chart for the week of January 20-26, 2025.

Despite the brigading, despite the dire predictions and fan complaints, it performed well enough in its first week - especially keeping in mind that Paramount+ has a smaller subscription base.

As my partner and I seem to be among the few willing to say we found it a lot of fun, even better on rewatch, I’m glad to see that it has other unvoiced supporters.

I'm watching "Section 31" and I hate it. I'm normally pretty relaxed about films, but this one is so over the top on the melodrama. The script sounds like a teen fanfic.

My spouse is laughing hysterically at how bad it is.

Finally saw #section31. One starship was cool, the rest, meh. You want to do twists in a movie, you got to make them not obvious.

Finally watched S31. That was... Something... Aside from a couple brand references dropped in, I'd have no idea it was Trek.

Seems about on par with what sells these days. IOW, nothing I particularly want to watch. Lots of pixels lighting up the screen. It's the kind of thing that catches your attention when you're at someone else's house and the tv's on, but wouldn't watch out of choice. I'll never see it it again. I give it a meh out of 10

Hated Philippa Georgiou, hated the whole series of Picard, did enjoy Discovery a lot, though much more starting in S2 and beyond
