Dites, je voulais vérifier/changer les fusibles d'une plaque a induction qui marche plus, mais la carte d'électronique de puissance a une grosse plaque métal greffée dessus (et pour autant que je puisse voir, soudée). On est d'accord qu'il n'y a rien a faire, vu qu'a priori les fusibles sont en dessous?
Même la dessouder j'ai pas l'impression que ce soit possible...
Sur tous les exemples que j'ai pu voir sur internet, personne a cette plaque a la con

Done. That's the underside, now covered with some "Bitumen" underbody spray that will also protect against small impacts.
This was a leftover can which went on fine and a new can which went on a bit blotchy. Guess you really need to shake it for five minutes. Oh well, blotchy protects all the better! :)
The inside got just normal matt black paint. That looked very nice but somehow the phone forgot to take a picture when I pressed the button

TIL: Don't use Araldite to repair skates. It's not flexible enough and makes the problem worse when it breaks. Sigh. 
Can anyone recommend better glue that can take the compression and strain?

Stop designing stuff that is nearly impossible to repair, or made so it takes hours to take apart and assemble when only a couple of changes would make it so much easier.

Although the super glue speaker "repair" was good enough at the time, and even though I've effectively retired this macbook since then, a pair of third-party speakers from AliExpress was <10€ shipped and I couldn't resist giving it a go.
Maybe the originals sounded a bit deeper — can't really compare them now — but the replacements sound quite nice on their own. I'm surprised.
Now I have a bit more incentive to repurpose this laptop as a Linux machine.

I have this #protrek swg-100 watch since 2009 and it has been a reliable #watch but terrible wrist watch. Damn strap ripped after 6 years and a new one didn't even last 4 years.
I am done buying new straps and went full DIY on it with 3d printed TPU strap. I will be keeping this watch in emergency bag from now on.
It's been ages since My Mechanics just restored a piece of equipment. While I can see the interest in him rebuilding a car, those silent restauration movies are just my favourite.
I am so proud of myself — I changed the disc brake pads on my bike! For {growing up reasons} mechanical repair intimidates me a lot, even though I know I’m capable. So this feels really good. It only cost me $20 for new pads, and I didn’t injure myself either.
