Christian Krebel ⁂<p>This poll, all the people and the AI I asked voted differently. Also, the most important thing is what I like. So, I combined two sets by using a trick of separating the first and last character of an H1 title for extra fancy treatment (V2) and normal fancy treatment (V3) for the rest.</p><p><a href="https://ohai.social/tags/QT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>QT</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/@ChristianKrebel/114984174461980161" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">ohai.social/@ChristianKrebel/1</span><span class="invisible">14984174461980161</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://ohai.social/tags/IndieWeb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndieWeb</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Homepage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Homepage</span></a> <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Font" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Font</span></a></p>
Grant_H<p>I have always loved parametric cubic splines, and had a chunk of C/ C++ code I dragged around in the '90s which had implemented it.<br>Writing a graphical editor in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Qt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Qt</span></a> / <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PySide6" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PySide6</span></a>, I was sad to only find Bezier splines - which are not nearly as intuitive for editing.</p><p>So with a little help from chatGPT, and big chunk of tweaking &amp; testing, I have a gist for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HermiteSplines" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HermiteSplines</span></a> in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a>. I'm getting a little frustrated with #debian 13 #trixie

It is not the fault of the #debian team, but there are a few packages I used in #bookworm that are not in #trixie

Additionally, the transition from #qt5 to #qt6 makes it slightly more challenging to maintain consistent settings between #qt and #gtk apps, as some package changes have occurred.

I get that #qt5ct and #qt6ct are a bit of a fudge, but they sort of worked okay with the appropriate style plugins installed.
However, the world has moved on, and some of these no longer work or are available in #trixie, plus there's more stuff moving to using #kvantum as the underlying manager for this sort of stuff.

I am grateful that #debian exists and does so much for #foss in general. It's just a little frustrating that the change from #bookworm to #trixie, at least using #xfce, is a little more challenging than perhaps I would like.

I'm having to resort to #distrobox for a couple of apps via #docker images, at least for now.

I never did and never will give a hoot about SEO. I do strive for consistent structure for myself and anyone who wanders into my public internal monologue.

I keep old content around for historical markers. The historical blunders also have value. I add an aside, usually with annotation date, warning folks that the sample code might reformat your hard drive or start a land war in Asia if run as-is.

This game, man... This goddamn game. My brother and I would do our damnedest to work together and beat this exercise in frustration, obviously to no avail. I swear to God I thought the bike level was the end of the game! There's no reason you'd make it this absurdly difficult and have an entire game after it, right?!

Blew my mind when I saw it beaten at a GDQ marathon one year. The music kicks ass, though!
