How often does your team share passwords or secrets?

Whether it's giving access to shared tools, handing over credentials for a project, or onboarding a new teammate, credential collaboration is a regular part of team life.

We're running a quick poll to understand how often this happens in teams like yours.

I've added a simplistic export/import feature to sopass, my command line password manager that uses the SOP, Stateless OpenPGP command line interface specification. This will help those who use sopass to not be locked in, by making it easier to migrate data away. This may also be useful if I fuck up and make backwards incompatible changes to the store format.

The export format will, however, probably have to live. It's the simplest one I could get away with.

I'm considering using a password manager. I run a minimal archlinux-based system. I don't care about synchronizing with any other machines, just about making an encrypted backup of the password bank in a file I can put in an exterman HD and not worry about. Any suggestions?

Even more importantly, what to look for and what to avoid when evaluating alternatives? (My scepticism against software is what kept me away from this type of program for the last decade and a half...)

Passbolt v5 is almost here, refining your workflow, one dialog at a time.
